This is the Austin-Healey 100 BN3/1 built as is in 1954 on a pre-production chassis.

Didier :

Austin healey 100 BN3 / 1

With the Sidney Opera in the background.
Patrick it’s splendid.
I like Australia.

Patrick:

It is a prototype car used by the Donald Healey Motor Company to test the new C-series 6-cylinder engine.

It was given the experimental number of X207 by Geoff Healey.

At one stage it was fitted with triple dual throat SU carburettors and was also the experimental car used by Jensen to test the two additional jump seats.

It's the BN3 number one !!!!

Geoff also called the car the Chummy as the closeness of the passengers he likened to an Austin 7 Chummy.

It has been owned by Patrick & Caroline Quinn of Sydney, Australia since 1974. Patrick & Caroline also own a Healey Duncan saloon.
